Will Aid is a partnership between legal professionals and nine UK charities. Will Aid is an annual event, that aims to make large amounts of money for nine UK charities.

To raise the money for charity, many legal professionals offer to write Wills in return for a donation to Will Aid.

Since 1988 Will Aid has raised over 19 million pound for its chosen charities.Will Aid aims to help some of the most vulnerable people in society by raising money for charities such as NSPCC, Action Aid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Save The Children, SCIAF, SightSavers and TroCare.

Since Will Aid begun over 300,000 people have made a Will. Writing a Will is important for many reasons. One of those reasons is, to save loved ones from unnecessary stress after losing a relative. The loss of a loved one can lead to various complications that having a Will in place could avoid.

A Will is a legal document that states the people and organisations, such as charities, that you want your money to go to when you die. It is a good idea to have your Will drawn up by a solicitor who will be able to make sure your Will is legally valid.

A basic Will is suitable for people who are leaving their assets to a few family members, loved ones and charities.

There is no ideal time to write a Will. Making a Will with a solicitor is straight forward. After writing your will you can always add a codicil if you wish to do so. However SNS solicitors recommend that a Will should be reviewed every five years or after a significant change of circumstances such as having a baby or getting married.

SNS solicitors agreed to draw up ten Wills for clients without charging our usual fee, instead we invited our clients to make a donation to Will Aid. The suggested donation was £95 for a single Will and £150 for joint Wills. Where all donationd go to good causes.

SNS solicitors received a huge amount of interest in the Will Aid scheme. With many people wanting to have their affairs in order to prevent their loved one from experiencing any extra upset at what is an already difficult time of their life.

SNS solicitors very much enjoyed being a part of Will Aid and are proud to have participated in the scheme.
